Rhodotorula mucilaginosa

Rhodotorula mucilaginosa（旧称Rhodotorula rubra）は、担子菌門に属する酵母です。

Rhodotorula mucilaginosaは、通常、侵襲的処置の結果として、まれに次のような重篤な全身性疾患を引き起こす可能性があります。

  • 心内膜炎

  • 髄膜炎

  • 腹膜炎

  • 皮膚炎

Rhodotorula mucilaginosaは世界中に広く存在し、土壌、水、樹木や花、食品、空気中で確認されます。この病原体はバイオフィルム形成が可能です。そのためカテーテル、人工器具、気管支鏡へのコロニー形成が促進されます。

感染経路

Rhodotorula mucilaginosaの正確な感染経路はまだ解明されていません。

バイオフィルム形成菌として、Rhodotorula mucilaginosaは、医療施設内で水を介して拡散し伝播する可能性があります。したがって、内視鏡の最終すすぎに使用する水は、微生物学的に管理されている必要があります。 

薬剤耐性

Rhodotorula mucilaginosaは、エキノキャンディンに耐性があります。
